Actor, producer and singer Mark Wahlberg spent Friday afternoon signing bottles of Flecha Azul Tequila in Palm Beach.

The event at Virginia Philip Wine Spirits & Academy ran from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the store in The Royal Poinciana Plaza.

In an Instagram post Wednesday advertising the event, store owner Virginia Philip wrote:

"Purchase a bottle of @flechaazultequila from our store and then meet with @markwahlberg in our tasting room for signing and photos! We will have bottles of Flecha Azul's full line up featured at the event: Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, Cristalino, and Extra Añejo, ranging from $54.99 to $339."

When the signing was over, there was a private event during which selected VIPs sipped tequila with Wahlberg.

Wahlberg is known for his hit songs in the 1990s when he performed with Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. He turned to acting in the late 1990s and has been in a number of high-grossing films, including as the lead in the "Transformers" film franchise. He and his brothers in 2011 founded the Wahlburgers chain of restaurants, starting in their home state of Massachusetts. The chain quickly grew to include dozens of locations and a reality TV series.

Aron Marquez and Abraham Ancer founded Flecha Azul Tequila in 2019, and Wahlberg joined the enterprise last year.
